Quality Manager
Job Description
Summary:Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance ISO / TS16949 compliant quality system, including quality standards, Quality department management, supplier quality, and performs the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Quality Control
Inspection of materials and finished product must meet and is consistent to the existing procedures and policies. Develops, collects and analyzes data of products to determine existing standards and compare quality and reliability of products with corporate goals.
Creates implements and coordinates inspection criteria for incoming, in-process, and final inspection areas. Where applicable, monitors the daily functions of assemblers to assure conformance to quality control guidelines are being adhered to. Works in coordination with the production department relative to quality training and workmanship standards to maintain high quality standards.
Quality Assurance
Is responsible for the identification, analysis and coordination of all rejected material and assures that disposition is made in a timely manner.
Is responsible for the coordination and tracking of all customer returns rejected material, analysis,, correction and preventative actions, and disposition thereof.
Develops quality plans, methods. Helps the department to incorporate quality clauses in internal process documentation. Collaborates and participates in design reviews for technical enhancements and cost reduction of final products as well as review and approve drawings.
Administers and performs internal quality system audits.
