Panalpina China was first founded in Hong Kong in 1976 and extend into Beijing & Shanghai in 1985. The head office is based at Hong Kong, a gateway to mainland China and Asia. There are over 20 offices covering the country.
In October 1999, a universal Partnership Agreement was signed with the Sinotrans Group, a strategic step to readily equip Panalpina with the most comprehensive domestic network in China, staffed, trained & equipped with Panalpina responsibility, reliability & transparency. Another comprehensive agreement has also been put in place with China Post EMS, focusing on time definite products since early 2001.
In June 2002, Panalpina registered its NVOCC flagship, Pantainer Express Line, in China. It enables Panalpina clients to continue enjoying the full Pantainer advantages, joining the Group’s network of over 480 offices, in more than 74 countries worldwide.
Panalpina Hong Kong and Macau are branch offices while mainland offices are registered as representative offices, working closely with our local licensed agents.
