At that time, the company was a wholly U.S. owned venture named as \"AlliedSignal Amorphous Metals Co., Ltd.\" in Pudong Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park. The company was conferred the \"Hi-tech Enterprise\" in Dec. of 1996 by Shanghai government.
Aiming at exploring a better business market in China, the company cooperated with Shanghai Zhixin Group to establish a Joint Venture in Shanghai in December, 1999, the total registered capital reached US$ 3,545,833.-.
The new joint venture moved to Tian Shan Xi Road of Changning District in December, 2000, and now it had been changed the name as \"Shanghai Metglas Zhxin Amorphous Metals Co., Ltd.\"
