G-U Group of Companies
Mr. Victor Gretsch established G-U, located in Stuttgart-Ditzingen, Germany, in 1907 to manufacture \"Atlas\" pull cord fan-light openers, window stays and fittings. Today G-U is one of the leading suppliers of fittings for windows and doors, ventilators, security installations, entrance systems, building management systems and much more with production facilities in Germany, France, Canada, Turkey and China. The guiding principle of G-U has always been directed towards making the opening of windows and doors technically better, easier and safer than ever.
The G-U Group employs more than 3,500 persons and has branches all over the world like USA, Canada, Russia, Argentina, Turkey, Japan, P.R. China and Hong Kong.
In 1995, the successful introduction of the quality control system according to DIN ISO 9001 has been certified to Gretsch-Unitas GmbH Baubeschlae by the association AGQS e.V. It has always been the special objective of G-U to produce superior quality. With the certification according to DIN ISO 9001 it is proved that also internal processes - from development through to marketing and after-sales service - proceed in accordance with this objective and the products stand for perfection of technical detail and design.
