The University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is the world\'s largest provider of international qualifications for 14-19 year old students. CIE qualifications are available in over 150 countries and recognised worldwide.
This role, based in Beijing, is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced manager within international education to further develop the market for the University of Cambridge International Examinations.

CIE is seeing rapid growth in China and is now seeking a second manager to join the team to develop relationships with existing customers and new business opportunities. You will be responsible for developing CIE\'s activities to deliver world-class educational support for schools in China and will play a lead role in ensuring that the CIE schools\' network continues to flourish by identifying opportunities to meet our customers\' future needs effectively.
You will deliver real educational value to schools, and in turn strengthen the CIE relationship with these educational organisations. You will design and develop models of school affiliation and develop short and longer term strategies that increase the attractiveness of joining the CIE network, optimise effectiveness in the schools network, reflect the CIE brand and provide genuine educational benefit to schools.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing our strategy for China and ensuring that we meet our ambition in terms of the growth of our qualifications with our existing and new customers. You will work closely with our UK based team to identify and develop marketing opportunities to support the development of the Chinese market including the implementation of educational seminars, conferences and other events.
This role will also include regular communication with the head office in Cambridge, UK with updates on the market, competition and other relevant activities; as well as assisting on compliance, inspections, registration of new schools, training, research and other school related issues.
You will be proactive and entrepreneurial in your approach, and passionate about international education and the opportunities it affords individuals around the world. Confident communication and presentation skills are a necessity; as well as the ability to develop ongoing relationships with our customers as you will be frequently discussing the educational benefits of CIE qualifications and making presentations on CIE products and services.
You will have experience of:
-business development and building customer relationships within an international educational context
-be fluent in English in a business context as well as Mandarin
-be available to travel on a regular basis, primarily in China and occasionally to the UK
-eligible to work and travel within China
