GETMA is a network of African agencies specialized in shipping agency, stevedoring, and freight forwarding.
The GETMA - network started in 1989, and aimed at offering alternative solutions to multinationals on the African west Coast.
In less than 10 years Getma has taken a leading position in this competing sector thanks to standing re-investments in handling equipment, offices, warehouses and qualified staff.
Today, GETMA is the first independent network of shipping agencies on the West Coast of the African continent.
With the creation of 2 new agencies in 2005 (Nigeria and Ghana), the Getma network is now able to offer full services in 15 countires, from Senegal to South Africa.

HISTORY
The first GETMA agency network was founded in 1989 by Richard TALBOT, with the ambition to create a network of shipping and forwarding agencies along the West African Coast, and offer an alternative solution to ship owners, ship operators and trading companies other than the existing large French multinationals.
A marketing and operations office was set up in Paris in the early 90s, under the name of GETMA International : This was the start of a successful and continuous expansion, resulting from an audacious management, a highly motivated team of professionals, and trustful clients.
