What is the 360fx Trading Program?
The 360fx Trading Program is main source for new trading talent. The program provides the fundamental background and skills required for trading futures & derivatives.
It is a six-month program that combines online Gotomeeting education and Two-weeks classroom in house training. You will be matched with a mentor to help guide you along the way. Upon successful completion of the program you will be assigned to one of 360fx’s trading teams as an Associate Trader.
What does a Trader do at 360fx?
Our Traders are constantly evaluating possible trades, hedging risk, rebalancing a portfolio, and formulating a view on the market. These tasks are usually being done simultaneously in real-time. Traders are communicating with each other and with various counterparties all day. Early mornings and afternoons are spent updating axes and setting an agenda for the next trading session. To be a successful Trader, you must be able to work well with others, must be open to new ways of thinking, and must have a genuine passion for the markets.
Why should you join us?
360fx is a relatively flat organization with a great deal of emphasis on teaching. New traders will have every opportunity to learn the craft and advance as quickly as they can.
You will be given a lot of responsibility early on to make trading decisions, and are often trading on the desk within four months of starting. Our culture revolves around small teams identifying and solving problems and implementing new technology, new models, and new trades every single day.
What skills/background do you need?
There are no pre-requisite degrees for the role of Trader. If you have sound quantitative skills and are highly competitive, you will have an advantage. A background in computer science is increasingly an advantage in this industry.
