Incorporated in 1983,the Malaysian International Trading Corporation Sdn.Bhd.(MITCO) is one of the leading marketing and trading companies in the South East Asian Region. Based in Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia,MITCO is a wholly owned subsidiary of PETRONAS,the national oil and gas corporation of Malaysia.
Capitalizing on PETRONAS\'expansion into the global arena, MITCO has been able to broaden its business portfolio across the globe in line with the vision to become a leading global marketing and trading company.
OUR PRODUCTS
Our core business is marketing and trading of petrochemical products. We are also involved in the trading of general merchandise and commodities to support PETRONAS\'global business activities.
PRODUCT CATEGORIES
MITCO markets most of the petrochemicals produced by PETRONAS plants apart from trading petrochemical products and a variety of general merchandise. The products are grouped under the following categories:
Basic & Intermediate Chemicals
MTICO is a leading methanol player in the region with marketing volume of about 700,000mt per year.Our product list includes Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (MTBE), Paraxylene, Benzene, Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM),Acetic Acids,Ethylene Glycol\'s and many others.
Fertilisers & Agrochemicals
MTICO has the sole right to market all granular urea and ammonia produced by PETRONAS at the same time trades in ammonia, ammonium sulphate,prilled urea and NPK fertilizers from other sources.
POLYMERS
MITCO has carved a name for itself as a supplier of Polypropylene, Polyethylene (LLDPE, LDPE, HDPE) and Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) throughout South East Asia, Far East, Middle East and Africa.
GENERAL MERCHANDISE
Supporting the core business of PETRONAS,MITCO\'s General Merchandise Division secures and completes counter trade arrangements, tolling arrangements and third party purchases while creating markets to trade Malaysian made products throughout the world.
MITCO trades in agriculture-based products, manufactured goods, minerals, finished and semifinished plastic products, foodstuff, garments and various commodities.
