Cheil Industries’ electronic material business started with the company’s development in 1996 of EMC, a material that protects semiconductor circuits. Cheil Industries’ IT production complex was constructed in Gumi in 2002 and has since mass-produced electrolytic solutions for secondary batteries, EMS, which is a shielding material, CR for LCDs, and CMP slurry for semiconductors.
