PSP Team Member Qualification
General requirements
* BS/MS of Computer Science or related fields(understanding of algorithms, computability, and other basic disciplines)
* Proven programming skills(> 2years, or large scale projects, etc.) in the following areas:
* C++(class design, inheritance, etc.)
* Network programming using sockets(client/server, socket pooling, Internet protocol suites such as http, ssl, ftp, etc.)
* Multi-threaded programming
* GUI programming principles
* Familiarity with the architecture of NT(required) and Unix(Solaris and Linux/FreeBSD preferred). Must be able to explain the difference of multi-tasking, thread, networking, and component models deployed in each environment.
* Fluency in programming tools: VC++, make(nmake), source code management, etc.
* Strong curiosity and persistency of getting the real answers.
* Methodical problem-solving skills. Must be able to analyze problems never seen before by anyone, and systematically resolve the issue, fast.
* Able to communicate with peers and non-technical audience concisely yet effectively. Also, English plays an important part here, as we will do most of the research on www.mozilla.org and www.apache.org.
