广州市香港科大霍英东研究院
Established by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Fok Ying Tung Research Institute (FYTRI) in Nansha, Guangzhou, aims to be a prominent research platform and an education base in the Pearl River Delta(PRD) Region. Working with government, industry and other research institutes and leading universities in the Mainland, FYTRI hopes to contribute to the technological advancement and economic development of the region.
Since the foundation on 25 Jan 2007, the School has established 9 research centers/projects and 2 joint labs by now , which focused in four areas: Internet of things, Advanced Manufacturing & Automation, Environment & Sustainable Development, and Advanced Engineering Materials. And the Scholl also offers two types of postgraduate programs, taught programs and research-based programs, leading to the degrees of Master of Science (MSc) and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) respectively.
HKUST ranks 1st in the Asia’s top 200 University and 40th in the World\'s Top 200 Universities (QS, 2011) and the 41st in the World\'s Top 200 Universities in Technology (Times Higher Education Supplement, 2010).
Fok Ying Tung Research Insititute is located in Nansha Industry & Technology Park (NITP), it takes around 1 hour from GZ city to the office. School have shuttle van from NITP to Metra Station( Jinzhou) every morning and night.
