Macquarie Group (Macquarie) is a global provider of banking, financial, advisory, investment and funds management services. Founded in 1969, Macquarie operates in more than 70 office locations in 28 countries. Macquarie employed approximately 12,700 people and had assets under management of $A216 billion at 30 September 2009.
Macquarie Funds Group is one of the global leaders in specialist funds (including infrastructure and real estate funds). As at 30 September 2009, it had assets under management of $A131 billion through 47 listed and unlisted funds managing over 110 assets and 350 properties. Macquarie\'s specialist funds management business has been a key driver of its success in international markets.
In Aug 2009, Macquarie and China Everbright Ltd (\"CEL\") entered into a joint venture to establish an international fund (USD1bn) and a domestic fund (target size RMB3-5bn) to invest in infrastructure businesses in Greater China. Due to this exciting opportunity and the plan to build up our specialist funds business in Greater China, we are now seeking 1-2 director level individuals to join our expanding Macquarie Funds Group division in China.
