IFA VILLAGE – CONTEMPORARY ART GALLERY
The ifa Village Gallery opened in May 2006 in Shanghai to promote contemporary art, to diffuse work of emerging artists, rising and confirmed talents as much for Chinese art as for international scene.
Patrick Kouzmine and Olivia Chai have opened this space to create a connection between eastern and western art, and contribute closely to the new artistic creation.
ifa Village Gallery is located in the heart of the artists district of Shanghai, on the Suzhou River side.
The first principle of the Gallery is freedom. This freedom expresses by opening the space to every kinds of plastic languages also by an eclectic vision of the current artistic panorama.
Painters, Sculptors, Photographers, Fashion designers, Musicians, Home designers, Poets, Handcrafters, will coexist in this space ( de 800 m2) that is dedicated to them.
Promotion of artists arises through solo and group exhibitions, not only in our space but also worldwide in partnership with other galleries, in international art fairs, and in collaboration with art institutions in China, museums and beaux-arts academies.
More than a gallery, ifa Village is “an exchange place around Art”. Art, that is surely the less comprehensible and reasonable thing, but the most necessary to the life.
