Target\'s first store opened in Roseville, Minnesota, in 1962. Its on-trend merchandise at affordable prices launched a new era in discount retailing. This \"T-1\" store was easy to shop, attractive and always clean. It served as the prototype for every Target store opened since then, and it changed how consumers think about discount shopping.

In 2011, we plan to open 21 new stores and remodel nearly 400 existing stores. We’re evolving our growth plans to include smaller stores in densely populated urban locations. We plan to open our first small-format stores, called CityTarget, in Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago in 2012.

Target Sourcing Services (TSS) is a division of Target Corporation. TSS is one of the world\'s largest sourcing organizations with more than 1,100 team members working in 30 international offices. Our China offices are located in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shanghai, Qingdao and Tianjin. TSS is focused on sourcing competitively-priced, high-quality products on time to support profitable market share growth.
