Camira Fabrics Shanghai Co., Ltd. was established in 2010. (100% owned by the HK Company). The headquarters based in the UK and we are specialized in producing fabrics for the furniture and transport industry. In China we have production partnerships and a trading company with warehouse in Shanghai.
We started out in 1974 as Camborne Fabrics, growing our business first in the UK, then continental Europe through service emphasis and short lead-times.
In the 1990s we acquired by US commercial interiors company Interface Inc and changed our name to Interface Fabrics.
Further acquisitions brought us new capabilities (Teknit – 3D knitting) and took us into important new markets (British Furtex Fabrics – transportation)
In 2006 we returned to independent ownership following a management buy-out and became Camira.
