Founded in 2001 by seasoned corporate executives and hi-tech companies based in the USA, Hong Kong and China, Funtem Corporation is a young international venture committed to providing integrated platform solutions, technical consulting and international trading services in promoting advanced embedded computing technologies and products to telecom equipment manufacturers in China and the US. Among our strengths, professional knowledge of leading embedded computing technologies, trustful business relationships at executive and engineering levels, and years of hands-on experiences working with customers are key competencies to our success.
Funtem’s offerings start with a spectrum of carrier grade telecom base platforms based on the latest CompactPCI standards and technologies. It consists of a series of powerful yet compact chassis designs mountable into standard 19” racks. The Funtem 5000/6000/7000 platforms are single segment CompactPCI base systems compatible with many single slot 6U cPCI SBCs. These base systems are scalable from a 1U high 2-slot chassis up to 4U high 8- slot configuration in 1U intervals. Customer may choose fixed power supplies for cost effective solutions or hot-pluggable power supply modules with load-sharing redundancy for better system availability and serviceability. All base platforms support rear I/O transmission modules with flexible choices of backplanes that supports a selection or mixture of standard CompactPCI, CompactPSB, and/or with H.110 support.
Designed specifically for the Funtem series base platforms, The Funtem FT series is a spectrum of 6U system slot and peripheral slot CompactPCI? single board computers (SBC) powered by PowerPC 750, Intel? Pentium? III or Broadcom BCM1125H processors. These SBCs are also capable of working with many CompactPCI systems from other vendors. The primary OS environments supported include VxWorks for real-time applications, Windows for less deterministic and data processing applications, and Linux to cover both worlds with multi-processing and high availability support.
Funtem is empowered with a very talented team of engineers specialized in SBCs hardware design and supporting software development as well as large capacity manufacturing facilities in China to provide any size of production requirements in a timely fashion. Funtem has carefully considered a broad range of technologies and products, and formed closed technology alliances with a number of leading vendors to provide building blocks of embedded computing platform solutions.
In addition to our US and Hong Kong operations, Funtem has field operations and business associates in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xian and Chengdu with over 15 years of business practices nationwide in the embedded markets.
