smc3 leads smg’s growth capital private equity investments in china from its shanghai headquarters with both usd and rmb-denominated funds. smc3 aims to be the leading international private equity manager with a nationwide presence via partnerships rmb funds with chinese government and strategic partners. we currently have joint venture funds and local teams established in wuxi and dalian and aim to grow to ten plus cities in the next two years. smc3’s three core investment sectors are e3 (energy, efficiency, environment), consumer & healthcare, and it and advanced manufacturing with focus on expansion stage firms. our partnership team consists mainly of experienced operations executives and domain experts from these three industries.
