In our short history of 7 years of operations in China, we have been able to accomplish a great deal. I am proud of everything that we have done and am eager to embrace our most positive future.
However, for our business to succeed in the long term, it is imperative that we make the right strategic and operational decisions, and sometimes those decisions can be painful. We are facing such a moment today.
As you may know, it has been quite well publicized that customers across the globe are themselves facing significant challenges due to unprecedented economic downturn. We see this trend causing a major reduction in the existing contracts and decision delays for new projects. We are therefore experiencing delays in securing new wins locally in China, as well as globally. Given these circumstances, we are unable to sustain the current cost base of our operations in China, and we are looking to improve our cost structures.
With these facts in mind, we are hereby announcing the restructuring of our business. This restructuring is in no way a reflection of any individual’s performance, but merely reflects the market realities with which we must confront.
The restructuring will involve an adjustment to our total head count and will be carried out with the full consideration of corporate social responsibility and relevant applicable laws. We will assist affected associates in all possible ways in seeking jobs and work opportunities elsewhere. The affected associates will receive economic compensation in accordance with the "Labor Law" and other relevant laws and regulations.
This plan will initiate on May 25,2009.

我现在向大家汇报一下市场/商业环境的情况,以及对我们整体组织和业务业绩的影响。我们在中国运营的时间虽然只有短短的7年,但是已经成绩斐然。我对我们的工作感到十分骄傲,并期待着最美好的未来。
然而,如果想让我们的事业长青,我们就必须做出正确的战略和运营决策,有时这些决策会令人感到痛苦。我们今天就面临着这样一个时刻。
大家可能知道,由于前所未有的经济衰退,全球各地的客户自身也面临很大挑战,这方面的报道很多。我们看到这个趋势导致现有的合同大幅度减少,使新项目迟迟不能落实。因此,我们在中国本地以及全球范围内获取新项目的进程都受到延误。考虑到这些情况,我们无法持续当前在中国的运营成本,我们的成本结构有待加以改进。
考虑到这些事实,我们特此宣布对业务进行重组。本次重组并不反映任何个人的表现,只反映我们必须面对的市场现实。
重组涉及对公司总人数的调整,调整期间会充分考虑到企业社会责任以及相关适用法律。我们将尽一切可能帮助受此影响的同事在其他地方寻找职位和工作机会。根据《劳动法》和其他相关法律法规,受此影响的同事将得到经济赔偿。
本计划将于2009年5月25日启动。
