It is the worldwide market leader in equipment for primary Aluminium smelters (mainly special cranes), is entirely dedicated to this industry and exports 97% of its products. Its yearly turnover is around 1.5 billion RMB. ECL has 7 wholly owned subsidiaries throughout the world.
Its Chinese subsidiary, ECL Shanghai Co. Ltd, was established in 2003, is now 16 people strong and growing quickly.
ECL Shanghai Co. Ltd. has commercial activities (sales of new equipment, sales of spare parts and sales of on-site assistance), manufacturing control activities (control of subcontractors which produce the structure of the special cranes sold in China), purchasing activities (local subcontractors, standard components, …) and international supply chain activities.
