BG Group ChinaBG Group entered China in 2006 and currently has two offices in Beijing and Shenzhen. BG Group owns operating interests in three offshore blocks 64/11, 53/16 and 63/16 in the Qiongdongnan Basin. In December 2010, the first exploration well drilled on Block 64/11 reported gas find and is currently under appraisal for future development. In March 2010 BG Group signed a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) sales and purchase agreement with China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) for the supply of 3.6 million tons per annum (mtpa) of LNG over a 20-year period starting from 2014.
