Bosca founded the company in Canelli in 1831, ambitiously wanting to transform his life from humble and hard working grape grower to determined entrepreneur. Pietro\'s son, Luigi, expanded the company\'s markets all over the world and in sixty years of hard and enlightened work, from 1868 to 1928, achieved international renown for Bosca brands. In 1889 Luigi\'s son, Pietro, opened a winery in Buenos Aires; in 1901 Luigi himself opened another winery in New York. As acknowledgment of a long life of successes Luigi Bosca in 1913 was granted the title of \"Cavaliere del Lavoro\" from the king of Italy. Luigi\'s grand-child, Luigi II, in 1939, built a new plant and greatly enlarged the company\'s grape growing capacity largely investing in new and renowned vineyards spread over 700 acres in eleven farms, all in D.O.C. areas. The vineyards are located in the areas of Asti, Alessandria and Cuneo, in the Piedmont region. In 1964 Bosca absorbed the oldest wine maker in Canelli, a company called Zoppa.
From then on Bosca continued to invest in advanced research, in new machinery and in new grape growing techniques always pursuing the highest quality by means of her precious tradition and a cutting edge technology in the industry of wine based products. In 1975, Luigi III, Luigi II\'s son, as new president of the company, bought the Robba wine company and ten years later, in 1985, faithful to the Bosca family\'s intent of constant improvement and enlargement, absorbed the prestigious Cora company. Bosca\'s secular wine knowledge, experience, tradition and technology live together in every single LUIGI IV bottle, a brand of very fine Italian wines. Bosca products continue to be present in markets all over the world always trying to bring together innovation and tradition.
