Nantong BIOLUX Bioenergy Protein Feed Co. Ltd. has been established in Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area (NETDA) and has received its Business License on 12 April, 2006. The company is an Austrian Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise (WHOFE) in the form of a Limited Company with a registered capital of 400 million RMB. The company is incorporated in Nantong Jiangsu Province (P.R. China). BIOLUX has signed a land-use right contract for 200,000 m2 of land in NETDA, directly on the bank of the Yangtze River.
The choice of Nantong as the location, on the mouth of the Yangtze River combines the advantageous business conditions of being close to the largest rapeseed growing regions in the world as well as being close to Shanghai, one of the major ports in the world. Both, the raw materials and finished products can be shipped easily to and from the plant along the Yangtze River and the ocean.
BIOLUX is erecting a plant for the production of protein feed, FAME (biodiesel) and pharmaceutical grade glycerin. The construction works will start in October 2006 and the start of production will be by end of 2007. Based on economy-of-scale the plant will be one of the biggest of its kind in the world and the first large-scale plant for the production of biodiesel in China.
After start of operation the plant will process approximately 700,000 tonnes of rapeseed every year and will produce approximately 270,000 tonnes of FAME, 400,000 tonnes of rape meal and more than 25,000 tonnes of pharmaceutical grade glycerin per year. The products will be marketed in China and abroad. Biolux will engage about 120 employees and 200 workers from the area.
To secure the supply of high quality rapeseed and to develop a contract farming and purchasing system, BIOLUX will closely cooperate with Chinese partners, farmers, governments and authorities as well as renowned Chinese universities and agricultural institutes. By cultivating new seed varieties, which have been developed and tested by different institutes all over China, the yield per area and the oil content of the rapeseed will be increased. Thus the income of the farmers and producers of edible oil and bio-energy will be improved.
南通碧路生物能源蛋白饲料成立于南通经济技术开发区，于2006年4月12日获准了营业执照，公司正式成立。南通碧路公司是一家奥地利外商独资企业，注册资本4亿人民币。公司坐落在江苏南通市，昂立于扬子江畔，目前我们在南通开发区已经取得了200.000平方土地的使用权。
南通位于长江口岸，它紧靠世界最大的油菜籽生产基地，又临近世界的最大港口之一上海，她得天独厚的地理环境自然是作为项目基地的最好选择。与此同时也便利了原料和产品的海上进出运输。
碧路公司主要经营蛋白饲料，生物柴油和医用粗甘油。厂区的土建工作从2006年10月开始，投产预计在2007年年底。基于厂区的经济规模将是迄今为止世界最大的生物柴油生产企业之一，中国国内同类产品厂家中前列。
预计在投产之后，每年大概加工700.000吨的油菜籽和生产270.000吨的生物柴油，以及450.000吨的菜籽粕和超过25.000吨的医用粗甘油产出。产品将远销国内外。我们将从当地招聘近120个企业员工和200个工人。
为保证菜籽的高质量和进一步发展农村合同与购买体系，碧路公司将紧密地与中方的合作者，当地的农民，政府机关和中国著名的大学以及农业协会加强沟通和合作。通过培育新的菜籽品种并且在当地各个不同的学会进行测试，每平米的产量和菜籽的含油量将会有很大的提高。由此农民和可食用油及生物柴油的生产者的收入会有所提高。
