TV band silicon tuners
Broadband TV tuners are used in a variety of consumer and commercial systems such as TVs, VCRs, DVD Recorders, cable modems and set-top-boxes. There are more than 300 million broadband tuners produced every year. Serving as the RF front-end of broadband signals, the tuner is responsible for receiving all available channels, selecting the desired channel and filtering out the others. Compared to traditional TV tuners, silicon tuners have the advantages of smaller form factors, high reliability, competitive cost/performance, and ease of manufacturing. With Quantek’s highly integrated TV Tuner ICs , customers can speed up the production even without the specialty of RF module manufacturing.
