Chartis Insurance Company China Limited (Chartis China, formerly AIG General Insurance Company China Limited) is a China registered wholly owned property & casualty subsidiary of Chartis, with branch offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong Province, the city of Shenzhen, and now Jiangsu Province. On July 27, 2009, Chartis China launched a new brand and completed its effort of re-branding with new Chartis logo, brand line and etc. in October. In May 2011, the Company obtained approval to establish a branch in Jiangsu Province, which represents a milestone in the expansion of Chartis in China. Chartis China is currently the largest foreign property-casualty insurer in China.
