John Portman & Associates, Inc. (“JPA”, 约翰?波特曼建筑设计事务所) is an international architectural and engineering design firm with offices in Atlanta, Georgia and Shanghai, China. Established in 1953, JPA has over 50 years of expertise in designing hotels, universities, offices, trade marts, and mixed-use urban complexes. The firm provides design services in architecture, master planning, programming, structural engineering, and project management around the world.
With the design of Shanghai Centre, Portman became one of the first foreign firm to do work in China. JPA established Shanghai Representative Office in 1993 and a wholly owned foreign enterprise, Shanghai Portman Consulting Co., Ltd. (“SPCC”, 上海波特曼咨询有限公司) in 2003.
