Bose Corporation was founded in 1964 by Dr. Amar G. Bose, the professor of electrical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Today, Bose Corporation is a privately held company with annual sales exceeding $2.5 billion. One hundred percent of profits are reinvested in the company’s growth and development.

From the very beginning, we have also applied our research talent and expertise to areas outside the realm of audio. Our first products were power amplifiers. We have since developed electromagnetic automobile suspensions and biomedical testing equipment.
Today, Bose employs approximately 9,000 people worldwide. Over 250 of those employees work in locations across China, managing marketing and sales for key lines of business and managing relationships with customers and suppliers. The Bose Operations Center in Shenzhen, opened in 2006, employs professionals in engineering, procurement and other disciplines.
