Seybold International is a global engineering and procurement company focused on PVF industrial products including pipe, fittings and flanges. Our headquarter is located in Toronto, Canada. In 2008 we celebrated our 21st anniversary.
All of our affiliated mills are quality registered and we only source products from factories that we have personally inspected and approved. We regularly visit our network of contacts in Europe, Asia and around the world, strengthening the ongoing relationships with our suppliers to improve the businesses of our customers. All of our manufacturers are ISO-certified and approved by major users and engineering firms around the world.
Due to the growth of our business in China, we are seeking an energetic and aggressive candidate to fill our QA position.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to organize and manage the QA department and all associated QA/QC functions in an efficient and professional manner.
Scope of Work:
- Expediting of technical issues with customer/vendor to ensure deadlines are met
- Ensure difficult or unachievable customer QA/QC requirements are highlighted and addressed prior to order commencement
- Audit to maintain and improve the QMS system and ensure company policies are satisfied
- Involvement with inspections at vendors premises
- Oversee all activities within the department and provide prompt action to any non conformances (actual or potential)
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Degree holder (preferably in a technical subject)
- Additional qualifications in the QA field are advantageous
- Proven experience in a Quality role
- Industry connections
- Understanding and experience in working with foreign companies (especially in North America)
- Knowledge of Steel Commodities, Specifications and material test certificates (as is relevant to Pipe, Fittings and Flanges is preferable)
- Project experience in Oil and Gas industry is advantageous
- Working experience with ISO9001, 14001 and BS18001 systems
- People management and human relations skills
