Alantum is the world market leader for alloy foams and the only company worldwide to produce them in large series. Alloy foams from Alantum are open-pored and display a large effective surface as well as a high degree of damping. They develop a low back-pressure when gases flow through them, making them the ideal choice for products such as particulate filters or silencers for engines for passenger cars, commercial vehicles or industrial engines. By adapting the pore size, the permeability and the composition of the alloy, the foams can be optimally matched to the individual requirements of the application – for example corrosion resistance and the ability to withstand high temperatures. The reproducibility of the technical properties in series production is ensured by a special production process patented by Alantum.
