1956 Foundation of a company supplying precision mechanical parts. One of the founding fathers was Hans Schleicher.
1989 \"Going public\" at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on 13 November.
1997 Establishment of a sales office in China under the name \"Schleicher & Co. International AG, China Representative Office, Beijing\".
1999 Schleicher\'s British subsidiary in Crawley takes over the distribution for OLYMPIA International Holding Ltd. in Great Britain.
2003 In the course of the year MARTIN YALE INDUSTRIES Inc. buys more shares and becames sole holder of the SCHLEICHER & CO. INTERNATIONAL AG in October.At year end the public company will be alter and sign with the firm name MARTIN YALE INTERNATIONAL GmbH in future. At the same time it will be integrated in the originated MARTIN YALE GROUP with domicile in the US american Wabash (Indiana).
