DCC is a leading global chemical producer based in Korea, has about 50 years history and produces over 40 products, covering a wide range of chemicals in the areas of inorganic chemicals, coal and petrochemicals and fine chemicals, including hydrogen peroxide, soda ash, sodium carbonate peroxyhydrate, fumed silica, carbon black, pitch, TDI and polysilicon. Recently, we have entered into the renewable energy business with successful commencement of commercial production of polysilicon, which is a key raw material of solar cells and semiconductor wafers.
Now our production capacity of sodium carbonate peroxyhydrate is ranked no.2, pitch is no.4 in the world. We are focusing on its competitive core businesses that based on global market.
DCC has succeeded in developing the core technology to produce polycrystalline silicon (polysilicon), a key raw material of semiconductor wafer and solar cell, and entered renewable energy fields successfully. In addition, upon the completion of the 2nd and 3rd expansion projects of polysilicon, the annual production capacity of the company will be total 26,500 MT. Through this capacity expansion, we will become one of the largest polysilicon manufacturer in 2010.
