apc was acquired by schneider electric in 2007. mge ups systems, another division of schneider electric, merged with apc. together they represent the it business unit of schneider electric. it business offers the industry’s most comprehensive product and solution range for critical it and process applications in industrial, enterprise, small and medium business and home environments.
in 2008, shanghai r&d center of it business was inaugurated in shanghai. as a core r&d group under the schneider electric it business, shanghai r&d center is working on the new product development of surge-protection power, uninterruptible power supplies (ups), precision cooling solution, racks & accessories, and power distribution units.
