LehmanBrown is a China-focused accounting, taxation and business advisory firm, combining years of international expertise with practical China experience and knowledge, offering expert advice and support to both local and international clients. We are committed to providing individually tailored financial solutions for each of our clients.
We currently operate through offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Guangzhou and Hong Kong and affiliates in a number of other Chinese regions and cities, which are staffed by a combination of China and expatriate professionals. We also have international liaison offices in the UK, Macau and Mongolia. Staffing and resources is currently around 250 professionals through out China, all of whom are English and Chinese Speaking.
LehmanBrown has, through its membership of global accounting and legal group’s access to 334 partner firms in over 100 counties with around 36,500 professionals. It works closely with these partner firms to provide a truly streamlined international service for cross border investment in and out of China.
LehmanBrown is also one of only a few CPA firms in China to be registered with the PCAOB in the US and is able to conduct SEC work. LehmanBrown was the first China-wide accredited Platinum Employer and is accredited as a Professional Development Partner for ACCA, and is one of only seven companies in China to be approved as Training Quality Partner for Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and is approve as an Authorized Training Organization for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Through offering “whole of life” services, LehmanBrown offers clients assistance throughout every step of their China business life cycle, from pre-conception to after life. We operate through five departments, namely Outsource Accounting, Professional Services and Audit, Taxation, Business Services, Systems and Process Assurance.
Outsource accounting services: Including bookkeeping, payroll, tax filing, VAT filing and rebate application, management and GAAP reporting, CFO function, as well as banking and cash management functions. We can take charge of the entire accounting function, or provide individually bespoke services.
Taxation and Transfer pricing advisory services: The new Corporate Income Taxation regulations came into effect from the 1st of January, 2008 alongside a whole range of follow up additions, while the new transfer pricing document requirements are due to be released shortly. LehmanBrown has extensive experience in all areas of taxation planning, preparation of supporting documentation, and in assistance in discussion with the tax authorities in non-compliance, audit or adjustment situations.
Audit, assurance and advisory services: LehmanBrown offers comprehensive audit services for both local and overseas reporting requirements including restatement of accounts for overseas GAAP including US GAAP, IAS compliance and Business Performance Assessments (BPA). Special audit services include internal audit, fraud investigation, SOX404 systems audit and review, as well as Mergers and Acquisition and Divestiture relation services.
