Sasol Olefin & Surfactants, a global division of Sasol Chemical, is the result of integration of the former CONDEA activities and the former Sasol Alpha Olefins activities, after acquisition of CONDEA on March 31, 2001 by Sasol. Sasol O&S manufactures and markets a diverse range of surfactants and its intermediates as the world leading supplier.
Sasol (China) Chemical Co., Ltd., locates in Nanjing Chemical Industry Park, was founded in 1996 as Condea Nanjing Chemical Co., Ltd. as a joint venture of the German RWE-DEA group and the local Nanjing Surfactant Factory. In November 2002, the name was changed to Sasol (China) Chemical Co. Ltd. after the company has become a fully owned Sasol subsidiary. Sasol (China) Chemical Co., Ltd. produces and markets surfactants and also acts as promotion representative of businesses from other Sasol O&S sites in China including Hongkong. Customers are both international and local companies active in the fields of household detergents, industrial cleaners, personal care products, textile and leather auxiliaries, including the biggest and most famous ones in these branches.
