Born of a merger between two top Hong Kong design firms in 1992, BDM has since gone on to rapidly expand its business from Hong Kong to other Asian countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, the Philipines, and Mainland China. BDM has subsequently become a major regional interior design firm. By 1996 the company\'s services for Mainland China were in such high demand that the first branch office was opened in Beijing. The second opening in Shanghai in 1999, the third opening in Guangzhou in 2000 and the fourth and fifth opening in Singapore and Chengdu in 2003.
