Greaton Corporation, a Florida-based company, began its China endeavor with debut shipments of Florida grapefruit & California oranges to Shanghai and Beijing when the import restriction on US fresh citrus was removed in year 2000.
Heading by a multi-lingual team, the company maintains either offices or representation in key China cites including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. This geographic advantage helps market penetration covering more than two-third of the coastal cities in China. Produce importers and key fresh fruit wholesalers in China are targeted clientele of the company.
For the China market, the company holds an exclusive distributing right on several premium US produce brands. Working with renowned growers, shippers and exporters from North & South American and South Africa, Greaton offers also, private labels for a wide range of fresh fruits. Since year 2001, the company became the market leader in distributing Florida grapefruit handling more than 80% of this fruit exported to China.
Beginning year 2005, other varieties of fresh fruit from Washington US, Chile and South African are also being brought into the China market.
As the quality of the locally grown and packed produce in China began measuring up to the standards of the international markets, Greaton is also exporting fresh and processed produce products from China to North America and Europe.
Food Services, a newly created division in year 2007 offering fresh produce to the hospitality industry and consumers-at-large through online purchases and home deliveries in Beijing and Shanghai.
