HUBBELL is a company organized under the laws of the State of Connecticut, U.S.A., (Add: 584 Derby Milford Road, Orange, Connecticut 06477, U.S.A.）and has a history of over one hundred and twenty years. It is a listed company with its shares traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbols HUBB and HUBA. HUBBELL is primarily engaged in the design, manufacture and sale of quality electrical and electronic products for a broad range of non-residential and residential construction, industrial and utility applications. The Power segment consists of operations that design and manufacture various transmission, distribution, substation and telecommunications products used by the utility, civil construction, and transportation industries. The Electrical segment is comprised of businesses that sell stock and custom products including electrical and electronic wiring devices, wire management systems, occupancy sensors and specialized wiring products for the marine and healthcare markets. The Lighting segment provides a full range of indoor and outdoor lighting products for commercial, industrial, institutional, sports lighting, landscape and residential markets, including green initiatives for vacancy sensors and daylight harvesting controls. Hubbell is planning to build its own facility in Wuhu, Anhui Province to serve both North America market and Asia market. For the year of 2008, HUBBELL’s consolidated net sales reached US$ 2.7 billion, an increase of 8% over the year of 2007.
