为响应中国城市轨道交通快速发展和高标准的要求，美国西屋制动公司于2007年正式进入中国市场，目前已在沈阳（产品：货车制动系统）、北京（产品：轨道摩擦产品）、杭州（产品：车钩系统及缓冲装置）、武汉（产品：工业散热产品）及长沙（产品：城市轨道制动系统）建有合资公司，并取得了快速的发展。
随着中国城市轨道交通的快速发展，美国西屋制动公司于2009年10月在杭州市杭州经济技术开发区组建成立合资公司——西屋金桥交通技术（杭州）有限公司，其公司目前主要产品为城市轨道交通车钩及缓冲装置，并在今后向城市轨道交通多元化发展。成立初期公司即获得杭州地铁1号线车钩及巴西地铁出口车订单。良好的开端为合资公司今后发展奠定了坚实的基础。
作为拥有140多年的美国公司，西屋正把其优良的企业管理文化，成熟可靠的技术引入新成立的合资公司中。作为公司中高级管理层，公司将定时委派至美国总部进行培训及学习，同时美国总部亦不定时到公司进行培训及技术支持。

Wabtec Golden Bridge Transportation Technology (Hangzhou) Company Ltd is a Sino-US joint venture, which is located in Hangzhou Economic & Technological Development Area. The US investor – Wabtec is a world leading company in railway field with 140 years’ history. As the brake system investor, now the railway products cover all railway parts to virtually every major intercity passenger transit system in the world. Throughout the 20th century, Wabtec maintained worldwide leadership in rail equipment technologies designed to improve the safety and productivity of customers in the transportation industries.
To be able to quick response to the increasing demand and higher standards of China City Subway Transit, Wabtec went into Chinese market in 2007. At present, Wabtec has the Joint Ventures in Shenyang, Beijing, Hangzhou, Changsha and Wuhan; all the JVs achieve quick development. In Oct 2009, Wabtec established the Joint venture - Wabtec Golden Bridge Transportation Technology (Hangzhou) Company Ltd in Hangzhou Economic & Technological Development Area, and the key products are coupler and buffer system for city mass transit. At the establish phrase, the JV receive orders of Hangzhou metro line 1 and Rio Metro project, which enhance the foundation for further development.
As the mature company with 140 years, Wabtec is now transferring excellent culture and mature technology into the new Joint Venture. As JV managers, the JV will commit to Wabtec US for training, and Wabtec US will also visit JV for training and technical support.
