Crane & Engineering Services<br>Company Profile<br><br>APM Terminals Crane & Engineering Services has formally expanded its scope to offer expert technical guidance and project management services for the design, procurement and installation of STS cranes, RTG cranes and other heavy terminal equipment to Port Authorities and container terminals operators outside of the APM Terminals Global Terminal Network. Recently, maintenance and repair services for cranes and cargo handling equipment have also been added to the scope, enabling CES to offer a unique all-encompassing service scope.<br><br>Officially established as an independent business unit within APM Terminals in February of 2009 with base in Hong Kong and offices in Shanghai and Shenzhen(China), The Hague(The Netherlands) and Berlin(Germany), the focused 50-person team represents collective experience of over 300 years in crane engineering and procurement procedures in 28 ports and 22 countries on five continents.<br>The enterprise in headed by Managing Director Halfdan Ross who is located in the Shanghai office. This location enables close coordination with the manufacturing facilities of some of the world’s leading manufacturers of harbor cranes, some of them long-time business partners of APM Terminals.<br>The CES team will continue its responsibility for crane engineering, quality assurance, commissioning supervision and crane assessments for the APM Terminals Global Terminal Network while taking on new clients, with an emphasis on expertise in emerging markets which are projected to lead container industry growth in the years ahead.<br>Adding maintenance and repair services to the scope, experienced mechanics, electricians, technicians, supervisors and maintenance engineers have been added to the CES team. Based in Hong Kong and Shenzhen maintenance teams are attending jobs and projects globally both long-term service agreements and urgent emergency repairs.<br><br>
