Artal is a privately -held company owned by a group of prominent Belgian families. In 1985, the Company began a diversification program making selected acquisitions in targeted food sectors in North America and Europe. In 1998, the total asset is over US$ 3 billion, with over 100 subsidiaries located all over the world.
Established in 1991, Artal Food Industries is the development arm of Artal in Asia Pacific area. From its base in Hong Kong, it has been seeking business opportunities in the food industry with a view to expand the group\'s presence in the region.
Through active investment, Artal Food Industries is operating in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia with activities in food manufacturing and retailing, trading, industrial catering and restaurants. Artal Guangdong
A modernized manufacturing facility located at the city of Heshan in Guangdong area, producing two main categories of product, namely, bakery, processed meat . This plant supplies bakeryproducts ,Mankattan and Country Road ,to the Southern China region covering a population of 100 million. Processed meat products are centrally produced in this facility covering the whole mainland China under the brand names of Maverick and Haslett. The facility is employing over 900 people.
