世界自然基金会武汉办公室
WWF (World Wide Fund For Nature)世界自然基金会是世界最大的、经验最丰富的独立性非政府环境保护机构之一。在全球我们拥有470万支持者以及一个在96个国家活跃着的网络。从1961年成立以来,世界自然基金会在6大洲的153个国家发起或完成了12000个环保项目。目前世界自然基金会通过一个由27个国家级会员、21个项目办公室及5个附属会员组织组成的全球性的网络在北美洲、欧洲、亚太地区及非洲开展工作。
世界自然基金会最终目标是制止并最终扭转地球自然环境的加速恶化,并帮助创立一个人与自然和谐共处的美好未来。为达到目标,世界自然基金会意欲通过以下途径以达到保护自然及生态进程的目的。我们致力于:
1.保护世界生物多样性;
2.确保可再生自然资源的可持续利用;
3.推动减少污染和浪费性消费的行动;
世界自然基金会是受中国政府邀请最早到中国开展环境保护工作的国际非政府组织之一,1999年启动的长江项目在长江中游成功的开展了湿地恢复与发展洪水型经济的示范后,又于2002年5月启动了一个新的湿地保护项目——世界自然基金会汇丰银行长江项目。
这个项目的目标是通过替代产业、灌江纳苗与生境恢复与改造等措施,与当地社区共同探讨湿地多种可持续利用模式和恢复长江与示范湖泊的生态和水文联系,同时推动小流域综合管理 、防洪减灾、恢复生物多样性并促进当地经济发展。

World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is one of the world\'s largest and most experienced independent conservation organizations, with almost 5 million supporters and a global network active in more than 90 countries. WWF\'s mission is to stop the degradation of the planet\'s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.
WWF was the first international NGO invited by the Chinese Central Government to undertake environmental protection and conservation in China over 20 years ago. Since then WWF has achieved great success in wetland restoration, which it aims to continue with the establishment of a new programme, the WWF HSBC Yangtze Programme.
The goal of this programme is to work with the local community to develop sustainable wetland wise use models and restore the ecological link between disconnected lakes with the Yangtze River through sustainable alternative, \"River-Lake Fry Introduction\" and habitat restoration.
With the development of this programme, we are recruiting as following three staff based in Wuhan and reporting to WWF HSBC Yangtze Programme Leader,
