W.E.T. Automotive Systems (China) Ltd. is a wholly owned foreign enterprise, a subsidiary of W.E.T. Automotive Systems AG which is based in Munich Germany. The W.E.T. Group is a world-wide organization with plants in Mexico, Hungary, Germany and China, and offices in Canada, Texas, Malta and Japan.
In furthering its leadership position in the world market for automobile seat comfort systems and also to increase its presence in Asia, the W.E.T. Group set up a state of the art plant in the Langfang Economic and Technical Development Zone in Hebei, and occupies an area of over 35,000 square meters.
The Chinese company was incorporated in September 2002, with an investment of USD 12 million and a subscribed share capital of USD 6 million. The company presently employs about 700 employees.
The production line of the plant includes automotive seat heating systems (carbon fiber included), automotive comfort seat systems, steering wheel heaters, and cable harnesses. W.E.T. China keeps the same high standards of management organization, production techniques, and quality control as in the other W.E.T. plants worldwide, and is in fact QS9000 and TS 16949 certified. W.E.T. China products are exported to Europe, Japan, and North America.
Our group of companies has repeatedly received awards for reliable, error-free delivery from its major customers for many years. We are the global market leaders in automobile seat heating systems, with a market share of over 50%.
