在中国科学院物理研究所与苏州国家高新区管委会的大力支持和协助下，经过2006下半年的策划和筹备，我们于2007年元月正式在苏州注册，创建了“中国科学院物理研究所苏州技术研究院”，落户在苏州高新区科技城，并由陈东敏博士出任首任行政院长。
研究院的目标是建设一个高新技术研发和产业转化孵化平台。我们改善中科院传统的产业化模式，提出孵化平台的新理念：1）打破院所界限，结合国内外的先进技术成果和人才，社会资源，注重高效益，高效率的孵化模式；2）开发技术产品和建设团队并重，实现以知识产权，产品技术，管理和技术团队为一体的产业转化；3）强调科学的激励机制，充分保障知识产权，技术和管理团队各方的利益分配；4）采用项目滚动发展模式，实现可持续发展。
Introduction of Suzhou Institute of Technology（SIT）
Suzhou Institute of Technology, CAS, which is jointly founded by Chinese Academy of Science（CAS）and Suzhou National New District Park, was officially established in Feburary, 2007. It’s located in Suzhou Science& Technology Town, a new R&D base within Suzhou New District Park。 Dr.Dongmin Chen is appointed as Dean of the institute.
We aim to build an incubator to allow new technology research and development and industrial transformation. By trying to improve the traditional industrialization mode of CAS, we deem to bring out a new concept of incubator:
1、To eliminate the boundary among institutes, to combine the advanced techniques and talents, social resources, and to make the incubator working more efficiency and effective.
2、We would focus on both new technology research and development and team building, and to actualize the integrative industrial transformation, which might include intellectual property rights, product technology and high-level technical and management team.
3、We would also emphasis on the scientific inspiration mechanism; to sufficiently protect the intellectual property right and to gurantee the interest distribution among technical and management team.
4、To adapt the program ‘rolling development’ mode, and to realize the persistent development
